Last week, Jakob and I took a 24-hour bus ride to Romania so that we could see our good friend Calin get married. I had never been to Eastern Europe, and I had no idea what to expect. I learned so much on this trip. For one, Romania is an extremely beautiful country. We spent most of our time in Translyvania: The Carpathians, rolling hills, untouched nature mixed with farmland. The second thing I learned is that Romanians are possibly the most hospitable people I have ever met. I have never experienced such hospitality. I haven't posted since I got my new camera. I've been taking time getting to know it. Last week, I took some fashion photos for Karin Hernandez, a friend who is looking to start a career as a make-up artist here in Germany. Fashion photography isn't exactly my passion, but it was fun to do for a day. Here are a couple of my favorites from the day. Make-up, hair, styling all done by Karin.

I braved a solo train trip over to Austria to visit Jakob while he is on assignment this weekend. Yesterday, I took 31 kilometer bike ride (I note the distance only because, for me, this was a huge adventure) down to the Almsee surrounded by the Alps. A beautiful place. Here are a few landscapes from the trip:
